Cynthia Guilfuchi-Maldonado, PA-C
Cynthia was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She later moved to Las Vegas and then Arizona to pursue her dream of becoming a health care provider. She earned a Bachelor of Science in general science with a concentration in biology from the Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de Cayey and a Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara.
Cynthia chose a career in medicine because of her empathetic nature and lifelong desire to help others. She decided to become a physician assistant to build meaningful relationships with patients while exploring various specialties within medicine. After working in family practice and psychiatry, she focused on oncology, inspired by her time as a medical scribe with Dr. Mehdi at Hope Cancer Care of Nevada. His dedication to improving the lives of cancer patients motivated her to continue her career in oncology.
Cynthia is a certified physician assistant through the Department of Health of Puerto Rico and the Arizona Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling locally and internationally, watching science fiction movies, and spending time with her partner and her 12-year-old, three-legged pug, Lia.
